Caesars' Planet Hollywood Resort poker room will close permanently on Sunday, July 11.
The closure was confirmed by a Caesars Entertainment spokesperson to Las Vegas Review-Journal, who referred players to other Caesars properties, including Bally’s Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas and Caesars Palace.
The room reopened in October after the shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 10-table Planet Hollywood poker area is located in the middle of the casino floor.
Planet Hollywood joins Binion's, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, and Mirage on the growing list of closed poker rooms in Las Vegas. Casinos around the city housed more than 1,000 poker tables during the summer of 2010, and that number has dropped to less than 300.
