The new policies remove the obligation to quarantine upon entering the country. They also enable the event to dismiss the 1.5 metre social distancing regulation by introducing a "Coronavirus Access Pass", which requires visitors to present proof of vaccination, proof of recent recovery or the results of a negative test within 24 hours.

As the Dutch government removed quarantine regulations for all vaccinated visitors, the iGB Live/iGB Affiliate Amsterdam has shown an increase of 40% in registrations. The new policy will take effect as from September 22.

As Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s cabinet confirmed that travellers who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 would not have to quarantine upon arrival in the Netherlands, even if they have visited a country with high levels of coronavirus infections, the number of industry professionals registering to attending the events increased week-on-week.

The Netherlands government also confirmed that it will not be enforcing the 1.5 metre social distancing regulation. It has been established that a Coronavirus Access Pass will replace this measure, where people wanting to gain entry to the indoor venues, including hospitality, will be required to present proof of vaccination, recovery from an infection, or a negative test  for the infection within 24 hours. These passes are generated in the form of QR codes in the Corona Check app.

Clarion Gaming Portfolio Director, Naomi Barton, spoke about the new policies and said: "We had already secured a business exemption to the quarantine regulations for iGB Live!/iGB Affiliate visitors, but this news really makes it a very simple process for all of our stakeholders to attend what will be the first in-person gaming industry event since ICE London was held in February 2020. Visitors will still need to check with their airline for confirmation of what additional documentation they need to fly, but all they need is proof of full vaccination status to enter the Netherlands and iGB Live! and that's it”.

"Those travellers who are not fully-vaccinated are also welcome to travel to Amsterdam, providing they have proof of a negative Covid test and an invitation letter that we will provide them with. They can then test for free at the RAI before entering iGB Live!, with the results delivered in 15 minutes. iGB Live! really is back!", she concluded.
