Play’n GO are bringing a little Christmas cheer to the slot world this week with the release of their newest title Holiday Spirits.

The slot is based on the famous Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol and features some of the best-known characters including Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley and the three Ghosts of Christmas as symbols in the game.

As usual, the narrative of the tale drives the narrative of the game to create a more rounded experience. Including a special feature that sees players multipliers pushed forward or backwards through time just as Scrooge himself is in the story.

Play’n GO have tackled numerous literary figures in their slots in 2020 including two very successful games based on well-known stories, Rabbit Hole Riches (Alice in Wonderland) and Riddle Reels: A Casse of Riches (Sherlock Holmes).

Both of these titles remain popular due to the ingenuity of their in-game features reflecting the stories and characters upon which they are based, and Holiday Spirits looks to be no different. Martin Zettergren, Chief Product Officer of the slot supplier, spoke about the importance of paying attention when creating slot titles:

“It’s essential to pay attention to the little details when creating a game, the small touches and ideas that enrich the game.

This becomes even more important when basing a game on something players know and love. Be it mythology, famous characters, or a much-loved band you have to get the important elements in there, as well as adding your own touches.”
