DraftKings to open new sportsbook at Golden Nugget Lake Charles

Golden Nugget Casino Lake Charles and DraftKings announced Monday the launch of a new retail sportsbook set to open on November 10, 2021 at 2pm at Golden Nugget Casino Lake Charles, pending licensure and regulatory approvals. Louisiana bettors will be able to place wagers on a variety of betting markets across professional, collegiate and other sports leagues at the DraftKings Sportsbook, located inside the Golden Nugget Casino Lake Charles.

DraftKings will launch its online sportsbook in the state at a later instance, provided its license gets approved. Once live, bettors will be able to place wagers online and via their mobile devices on the DraftKings Sportsbook app in permitted parishes. 

The DraftKings sportsbook will be the largest in Lake Charles. It will be located inside a portion of the Blue Martini bar, which has six ticket cages where customers can engage with employees to place bets, as well as a total of 30 self-service kiosks spread through the casino.

The DraftKings Sportsbook inside the Golden Nugget Lake Charles will be open beginning November 10 at 2pm. Regular hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and from 9 a.m. until midnight on the weekends. 

Plans are underway for a permanent 10,000 square-foot DraftKings Sportsbook and lounge that will include nearly 300 seats, odds boards and big screen televisions throughout the space. This location is expected to open by the Summer of 2022.
