Over the first seven months of this year, Ohio's gambling establishments have amassed $1.41 billion in gambling revenue, surpassing the $1.38 billion recorded during the same period in the previous year. These figures exclude revenue from the newly legalized sports betting market.
Breaking down the numbers, Ohio's four commercial casinos, which offer both slot machines and table games like blackjack, reported $86 million in gambling revenue for July. This represents a decrease from the $88.7 million generated in July 2022.
For their part, the state's seven racinos, located at horse racetracks and limited to offering slot machines, reported $117.5 million in revenue for July, slightly down from the $118 million in the previous year.

In the realm of sports betting, operators in Ohio saw a revenue jump in July. Sports wagering saw a rise from $32.7 million in June to $37.1 million in July. The 18 online sportsbooks reported $36 million in revenue, substantially outperforming retail sportsbooks, which earned $1.2 million during the same period.
