With the event fast approaching, the gambling industry has its eyes set on the upcoming edition of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), to take place in Las Vegas from October 10th to 12th. As is the case every year, leading companies from all over the world are once again ready to highlight and showcase their novelties and solutions at The Venetian Expo.
Among them is cash handling expert GeWeTe, part of the German giant Gauselman Group. The solutions provider is gearing up to showcase its products along with sister company Merkur Gaming at Booth 3353 at a special time in its history, as GeWeTe recently celebrated its 30th year supplying solutions for money changing, pay machines, and ticket machines.
Speaking about the company's plans for the event, GeWeTe CEO Aristidis Tsikouras, in a recent interview with Yogonet, said: “GeWeTe, with 30 years' experience in cash handling will have a range of solutions on show, suitable for casinos, street market gaming venues and betting offices. Offering both cash and cashless solutions our range of machines is an important part of the venue's cash handling and cash security.”
GeWeTe is no stranger to the meeting and, as Tsikouras points out, the cash handling expert has been exhibiting at G2E "for many years." However, with the company having expanded its customer base around the world, the upcoming edition of the major event positions itself as the perfect opportunity for GeWeTe to further ramp up its global plans.
“We are looking forward to meeting customers old and new throughout the show. G2E is a great opportunity to catch up on new trends and for getting feedback from our customers to enhance our products or design new models to meet the needs of our customers,” the company's Chief Executive says.
For Tsikouras, there is no doubt: G2E is "one of the main annual exhibitions" for GeWeTe, particularly now that the company eyes a larger footprint in the Americas region. “With a growing install base across the US and South America it's a fantastic opportunity to showcase our models and options,” he points out.
Key to this successful expansion has been the company's commitment to delivering solutions in a timely manner. “Short routes and a quick reaction are our principles. This has made us one of the leading cash handling providers worldwide in our field,” the company’s website reads, a motto GeWeTe aims to highlight at G2E. “With a distributor based in the US and our own team based in Peru, GeWeTe can offer local sales, service, and support," confirms Tsikouras.
These cash-handling solutions range from money exchange machines, automated pay stations, ticket machines to deposit systems, among others. However, when asked which products of this vast portfolio will take the spotlight at G2E, GeWeTe's CEO highlights two of them: "Our Cash Center Premium and Cash Center Slim are expected to draw a lot of attention this year."
Cash Center Slim
GeWete describes its Cash Center Premium as the “perfect cash handling solution for the casino sector with a premium design." It boasts an extra large 27" HD touchscreen with features including ticket handling and TITO, cash in - cash out, payout of all winning tickets, handling of player and their customer cards, easy implementation to all casino management systems and high banknote capacity.
Meanwhile, the Cash Center Slim is described as “the compact solution for Casino, Ticket Redemption and Sports Bet Handling.” It houses features such as ticket redemption for casino and AGC markets, automated pay-in and pay-out of sports betting slips, and is billed as a small footprint solution with secure and efficient cash handling.
Another topic highlighted in conversation with Yogonet is the importance of adapting to the latest technological developments in trends in the ever-changing sector. GeWeTe's approach to this is "constantly monitoring new trends and technology enhancements," as per Tsikouras. "With everything designed and manufactured in-house we have the flexibility to react to changes and adapt our models accordingly," he notes.
Elaborating on which trends, in particular, the company sees as gaining momentum, Tsikouris pointed out: “Electronic payments are becoming used more and more around the world from bank cards to wallets and cryptocurrencies. GeWeTe have the option to handle these.”
“With our vast experience and the most extensive range of models and options anywhere in the world, GeWeTe is very well placed to offer any operator the correct model and options for any application regardless of the size of the venue,” Tsikouris concluded. “With its German-built reputation, the quality, security, and sleek modern design make GeWeTe machines stand out."
