Greentube has confirmed its attendance at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo (G2E), set to take place at The Venetian in Las Vegas from October 10th to 12th. Ahead of the event, Yogonet spoke with Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO at Greentube, who shared insights into the company's expectations for the event as well as its provisions for the remainder of the year.

What are your expectations for the company's participation in the event in terms of conversations with clients and networking opportunities? What markets are you targeting?

G2E is one of the most important dates in the calendar for Greentube and is an event we all look forward to attending. This year we will be sending a substantial number of people from our sales team to liaise with clients old and new.

Las Vegas not only offers us plenty of opportunities to meet customers and talk business, but it’s also a fantastic location to entertain in what is arguably the gambling capital of the world. Sampling everything the bright lights of Vegas have to offer is a great way to get to know our customers better.

When it comes to the markets we'll be targeting at the event, discussions will primarily revolve around the Americas, but of course, G2E being a global show means we’ll also be talking about other markets across Europe.

What opportunities could G2E offer to Greentube, especially given the prestige of the event?

G2E provides the perfect location to talk about the Americas considering we will be in the heart of the continent’s gambling community. It’s difficult to pinpoint just one feature or highlight what we’re looking forward to the most as ultimately, we are excited to be spending time with current and future customers in a truly unique setting.

Where do you see the iGaming industry headed? G2E will highlight, among other topics, the growing role of AI - does Greentube leverage this asset in its offerings?

The industry is moving towards tighter and better-controlled regulation across the board. This is helping operators and suppliers alike to act on a level playing field which is hugely beneficial for all.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there will be any new US iGaming markets added to the picture this year, but we remain optimistic for 2024. Elsewhere, developments in Brazil are very interesting as it is one of the world’s biggest countries and the opportunities are going to be rife.

With regards to artificial intelligence, Greentube is currently using the technology at a limited scale as some of the IP topics remain unresolved.

Greentube's stand at G2E last year

In the last months, we have seen Greentube expand its market share in various jurisdictions over the world, including Peru, Germany, and Belgium, among others. What regions and markets are the most exciting ones for Greentube at the moment?

Latin America is a very interesting region and we hope to see more regulated markets open up in the coming months and years. We also believe that Germany has the potential to be our biggest market. It’s currently growing slowly, but it is increasing and recently became one of our top five markets. Of course, there’s also still big potential for us in Italy, Ontario, and the United States as well.

Turning to the US, where G2E is held, Greentube has secured licenses in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Michigan. Could you share some updates on the initial feedback and performance Greentube has seen in these states?

Our games receive very positive feedback from players and operators alike. This is amazing to see as it proves that all of our efforts are working out the way we’d hoped they would. We are not yet live in Pennsylvania and are still to launch with some of the bigger operators in these markets. Therefore, the upside is huge for us and our games will be even more successful in the future.

Which new strategies does Greentube plan to implement to differentiate itself in emerging or potential markets? What type of partnerships does the company intend to seek to achieve this?

Unfortunately, we can’t give away too much of our secret sauce, but what we can say of course is that we believe that our superior products and customer service will eventually pay off. We are always looking at markets and customer relations with a long-term perspective. Our shareholder structure is very stable, we neither have to plan an exit nor please capital markets. This makes us a very reliable partner for the long term.

What should we expect from Greentube for the remainder of the year? Are there any new plans or announcements you could share with us?

Q4 is always the busiest time for us. We have planned some exceptional game launches and you will see further product diversification from us. What’s extremely exciting is that the first games from our newly acquired US team will be launched.

Additionally, we are launching a big upgrade of our Casual Gaming product Ski Challenge – the Nations Cup. Together with the ski federations of Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, we will establish national teams that will participate in an e-sports league to determine the world champions in virtual skiing.

Looking towards industry events, you’ll be able to meet a number of important figures from our sales team at upcoming events across Europe, this includes ICE London where we will be once again hosting a stand for people to visit.
