IGT signs 10-year contract extension with PMP to deploy its Aurora central lottery system in Malaysia

International Game Technology (IGT) has announced that its IGT Global Services Limited and IGT Global Solutions Corporation subsidiaries have signed a 10-year contract extension with Pan Malaysian Pools SDN BHD (PMP) in Malaysia.

As part of this contract extension, IGT says that it will upgrade PMP's existing system technology to its Aurora central lottery system, and provide related system components designed to help manage and grow PMP's business. 

IGT notes that as part of its player-centric, omnichannel solution OMNIA, Aurora will also seamlessly integrate with PMP's proprietary dmcGO iLottery platform.

"Over the last 12 years, IGT has demonstrated its forward-looking lottery expertise by helping PMP introduce innovative and responsible, growth-driving lottery solutions into the market," said Tan Kong Han, PMP Managing Director.

"IGT's sophisticated Aurora central system and advanced features, as well as its integration with our dmcGO platform, will help PMP provide our players with engaging and convenient lottery experiences over the next decade."

"Our world-class Aurora system and special features will provide valuable insights to PMP, helping grow their business and maximize funds for The Community Chest, a charitable trust funded by PMP that focuses on providing financial assistance to educational institutions in Malaysia."

Earlier this week, IGT also announced a contract amendment for a seven-year extension with the California Lottery, the second-largest lottery in the US, to continue as its primary lottery technology provider.

The contract amendment is expected to run through October 2033, and it includes an additional five, one-year extension options. Under the deal, IGT says it is set to modernize the lottery's platform with its cloud-based technology.
