The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has approved four consent agreements during its latest public meeting, resulting in a cumulative total of $73,075 in fines to gambling operators. These consent agreements were negotiated by the Board's Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) and pertain to three license holders, including two casinos and a Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) establishment.
The first consent agreement involves Stadium Casino Westmoreland, which operates Live! Casino Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County. The casino is facing two fines, totaling $30,000, as a result of the following violations:
The second consent agreement pertains to Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, which received a fine of $25,000. This fine is due to the company's failure to provide the PGCB with updates regarding changes in ownership structure for its five VGT Truck Stop Establishment locations.
The third consent agreement involves Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, the operator of Parx Casino in Bucks County. The casino has been fined $18,075 for the late submission of two license renewal applications.
Individuals interested in obtaining copies of the consent agreements, which provide more comprehensive details on these matters, can make a request through the Board's Office of Communications.
The PGCB is dedicated to upholding regulatory compliance and ensuring that all licensed establishments adhere to the prescribed guidelines governing the gaming industry.
The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. This meeting will take place in the Board's Public Hearing Room, located on the second floor of the Strawberry Square Complex in Harrisburg.
Also this week, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board renewed the Category 2 stand-alone casino license of Sugarhouse HSP Gaming, LP, the operator of Rivers Casino Philadelphia, for an additional five-year period.
The board's evaluation determined that the operator fulfilled its obligations under the previously approved casino operator's license, therefore qualifying to have its casino permit renewed.
