Hospitality and entertainment company Delaware North announced that Gate City Casino, formerly known as Boston Billiard Club & Casino, will be hosting an event to celebrate the property's expansion. Nestled in the heart of Nashua, New Hampshire, the venue will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 24.
On the appointed date, the casino will open its doors to a special tour for media professionals, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the new facility. Furthermore, at 10:30 a.m., a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place.
The ceremony will feature brief remarks from select officials including Brian Hansberry, President, Delaware North's Gaming Division; David Frankhouser, Chief Operating Officer, Delaware North's Gaming Division; Krista Thomas, Senior Director of Gaming Partnerships, DraftKings; as well as New Hampshire Lottery Officials; Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess and other elected officials and representatives of Charitable Organizations Receiving a Percentage of Casino Proceeds.
Situated at 55 Northeastern Blvd., the facility is now one of the "largest gaming destinations" in the state, according to a news release. The expanded venue now boasts 540 historical horse racing (HHR) gaming machines that resemble and function much like traditional gaming machines, a state-of-the-art poker room, and a new retail DraftKings Sportsbook, which opened its doors in August. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to explore the Lucky North players' reward club.
Gate City Casino offers a wide array of well-known casino games, featuring 20 table games that include roulette and Spanish 21. The casino also boasts a 20-table poker room which frequently hosts tournaments. The venue further offers a restaurant, a sports bar equipped with numerous large-screen televisions, an outdoor beer garden with fire pits, and ample space for outdoor games like cornhole.
As a charitable gaming facility in New Hampshire, Gate City Casino allocates a substantial portion of its daily gaming proceeds to support local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. The casino is both owned and operated by Delaware North, which also manages the Sheraton Nashua hotel in conjunction with the casino.
