International Game Technology (IGT) has announced its improved performance for the fourth consecutive year in the 2023 S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), demonstrating growth in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas.
As one of the 65 companies assessed in the casinos and gaming category, IGT achieved an overall CSA score of 54, and perfect scores in areas such as transparency and reporting, emissions, waste, water, and talent planning and analytics, all as of September 22, 2023.
Wendy Montgomery, IGT's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability, commented on this achievement, stating: "Achieving an improved S&P Global CSA score for the fourth consecutive year emphasizes the positive impact IGT's Sustainable Play initiatives are making on our people, industry, community, and environment."

Montgomery highlighted IGT's commitment to recognizing the significant value that ESG programs offer to all stakeholders and reiterated the company's dedication to building a more sustainable future.
The S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment, in collaboration with Dow Jones Indices (now S&P Dow Jones Indices), has been a pivotal tool since 1999 to create a globally recognized sustainability benchmark. Notably, the CSA adopts a best-in-class approach that encompasses assessments across all industries.
The assessment evaluates companies across 61 industries and assigns scores ranging from 0 to 100, considering approximately 20 financially relevant sustainability criteria within economic, environmental, and social dimensions.
