Sports betting and iGaming operator BetMGM has announced the signing of a new deal with sports technology giant Sportradar, granting the gaming brand access to products and services to be powered by official NBA optical tracking data.
As a result of the partnership expansion, Sportradar will provide BetMGM, for the first time, access to next-generation products and services that leverage NBA optical tracking data, which is supplied exclusively by the tech company through its partnership with the league.
The collaboration is set to expand the offerings available for BetMGM customers. As a result of the deal, BetMGM will be able to grow its prop markets and same-game parlay portfolio, as well as its in-play betting markets.
"Sportradar's league data has enabled BetMGM to enhance our product offerings since we first partnered with them in 2018," said BetMGM Chief Product Officer Jarrod Schwarz. "We expect the upcoming NBA season to be outstanding and look forward to leveraging this data for years to come."
Eduard Blonk, Chief Commercial Officer at Sportradar, added: "We're pleased our value-added products and services will unlock the potential of NBA optical tracking data for BetMGM while supporting the return on investment of our partnership with the NBA."
Back in July, Sportradar signed another deal for the provision of NBA optical tracking data with Caesars Sportsbook. As part of the latest expansion of their longstanding partnership, the companies teamed up to further enhance the betting experience of Caesars Entertainment's sports wagering platform through new products and offerings that leverage NBA optical tracking data.
