Flutter's North American online betting brand FanDuel is now available for online sports betting in the state of Vermont. Sports enthusiasts can download the FanDuel Sportsbook app for iOS and Android or use the desktop version.

New customers in Vermont who register and bet $5 will receive $200 in bonus bets, usable on sports events such as the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MMA, golf, boxing, and soccer.

According to the company, FanDuel will provide a platform with features suitable for bettors of all levels. The Explore section offers an accessible betting experience, including question-format bets like "Who will win this game?", educational tutorials, popular bets, parlay builders, and more.

Features such as The Pulse provide a curated experience that follows major sports events and offers live betting at key moments. New bets are added as events unfold, presented in a narrative format.

In a press release, the brand stated that FanDuel Sportsbook app is designed to be simple, secure, and convenient, including:

- Customer focus: secure banking services, fast payouts, early cash-out option, and 24/7 customer support.

- Innovation: FanDuel introduced Same Game Parlay bets, live streaming within the app, and early payouts for winning teams.

- Sports Betting 101: An online betting guide and the Explore section to facilitate the betting experience.

- Unified betting on sports and horse racing: FanDuel allows parimutuel betting on horse races and traditional sports betting with a single account.

- Responsible gaming: In-app tools to set limits and a dedicated website to promote responsible gaming.

Vermont is the 21st state to offer mobile sports betting through FanDuel, joining others such as Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

The launch of mobile sports betting followed the deadline set by the governor Phil Scott in December 2023. A total of five sportsbooks were considered during the bidding process, and all three of those selected have chosen to have a six-year term with extensions if both parties agree to continue operating legal wagering in the years to come. Sports betting is expected to generate up to $7 million in revenue in its first year for the state.
