Oneida Indian Nation unveils $50 million expansion project for Point Place Casino in New York

The Oneida Indian Nation has revealed plans for a $50 million expansion at its Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, Madison County. The expansion project, set to commence in the coming months, seeks to transform the casino into a premier destination, offering an array of new amenities for guests.

Citing a growing demand from patrons for enhanced facilities and services, the Oneida Indian Nation has committed to doubling the size of the gaming floor, as well as introducing a 100-room hotel, and adding new dining options.

Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO, said: "With constant requests for more of everything Point Place Casino offers since its opening, we knew this expansion was more than necessary."

Key to the expansion is the construction of a multi-story hotel boasting 100 guest rooms and eight suites. Furthermore, the expansion will see the introduction of a new restaurant, offering American grill-style cuisine. In addition to this, the popular dining venue The Burgers of Madison County will expand its offerings to include breakfast service.

Enhancements are also in store for the Fireside Lounge, a gathering spot within the casino. The lounge will undergo an expansion, doubling in size to accommodate more guests and providing an inviting ambiance for patrons to enjoy specialty cocktails, craft

John Pinard, Chairman of the Madison County Board of Supervisors, said: "The Oneida Indian Nation has been a dedicated partner to Madison County for many years. We are confident that this latest investment in Point Place Casino will continue to create jobs and spur expanded economic activity."

Construction associated with the expansion is projected to create approximately 250 jobs, comprising both construction and permanent full-time and part-time positions. The Oneidas hope to tap the explosive growth and economic development occurring across Central New York with this expansion.

Town of Sullivan Supervisor Tom Daviau echoed Pinard's sentiments stating: "This major expansion will help attract more tourists to Sullivan while generating critical economic investment to support our growth into the future."
