The Supervisory Board of Novomatic has appointed Stefan Krenn, LL.M. as a new Member of the Executive Board with effect from February 15, 2024. In this function, he will form part of the three-person Executive Board of the international group, together with the two other members, Ryszard Presch and Johannes Gratzl.
Dr. Bernd Oswald, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Novomatic, said: “We are delighted to have been able to bring on board Stefan Krenn, an experienced manager and a proven expert from our own ranks as the new Member of our Executive Board.
"Stefan Krenn has played a significant role in helping to shape the strategic development of this group in recent years and has made an important contribution to the company’s success. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to wish Mr. Krenn all the very best and much success with his new responsibilities."
Krenn, who studied both economics and media law, has already held various positions at the international gaming technology group since 2015. These included posts as Secretary General and Global Division Manager as well as, until recently, Authorized Representative of Novomatic. Furthermore, the Upper Austrian is also Managing Director and Member of the Supervisory Board of various subsidiaries of the group.
“I would like to thank the Supervisory Board for the trust they have placed in me, and I am looking forward to this responsible and exciting new task. Novomatic is a leading global company and I will be fully committed to the sustainable success of the group, further expansion, and clear positioning on international markets,” said Stefan Krenn, Member of the Executive Board of Novomatic.
The Novomatic group has around 300 subsidiaries and generated revenues of EUR 2.9 billion ($3.1 billion) in the 2022 financial year. It employs over 24,500 people and has operations in more than 100 countries.
Earlier in January, Thomas Schmalzer, Novomatic's VP of Global Sales, in an exclusive interview with Yogonet spoke about the company's focus and strategic plans for 2024.
He said: "In 2024 we continue our innovative momentum and carry on supplying our customers with state-of-the-art solutions for their land-based gaming offerings from slot machines to casino management systems, cash handling solutions, and sports betting equipment.
"The area of online, mobile, and social gaming activities in particular has also been experiencing significant growth for several years, and we will therefore continue to focus on our online activities in 2024."
