Las Vegas Strip's Treasure Island unveils new The Cove Bar and Arcade

Las Vegas Strip's Treasure Island has opened The Cove Bar and Arcade, a 7,400-square-foot venue situated on the property's casino level. The new amenity seeks to offer visitors an alternative gaming experience beyond the traditional casino offerings. 

Boasting 27 arcade games and activities, including air hockey, shuffleboard, a six-lane bowling alley, and a golf simulator, The Cove aims to provide a recreation experience on the Strip to those who want to play games that aren’t found on the casino floor.

Robert Owens, executive director of front services at Treasure Island, said: “Treasure Island guests now have a brand-new spot to drink and play, and The Cove Bar and Arcade is perfect for anyone looking to game in an exciting, high-energy environment."

“Our goal is to continue to elevate our guest experience, offering fresh and entertaining options for guests to explore, and The Cove is a fun addition to the many amenities on the property.”

The Cove also features a dedicated full-service bar, offering a selection of specialty cocktails to complement the gaming experience. Additionally, adult patrons can indulge in video poker with eight bartop poker machines available.

The Cove replaces the property's former meeting and convention space. Before that, the space was once occupied by the tropical-themed bar and restaurant Kahunaville, which ceased operations in 2016.

Operating hours for The Cove are from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Entry to the arcade gaming area starts at $20 for a 30-minute session.

The Treasure Island resort on the Las Vegas Strip last year celebrated 30 years of history. At the time of the opening, Mirage Resorts developer Steve Wynn wanted to capture the imaginative spirit of Las Vegas through Treasure Island, which features a pirate theme inspired by the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. 

The resort opened in 1993, part of the boom at the Strip at the time, as operators tried to wow visitors through their latest novelties.
