Last week, Latin America's leading vendors and regulators attended SAGSE 2024 to showcase their latest innovations and releases and discuss industry developments during a packed conference agenda.
While touring the crowded halls of the show, Yogonet spoke with Gevorg Rushanyan, Manager of Digitain's Latin American sales team.
During the interview, the executive assured that the sports betting and online gaming solutions provider is ready to adapt to the new regulatory frameworks in the region and that Digitain's focus is always on developing products with cutting-edge technology for its operating partners.
Considering that in the last year there has been a lot of progress in the regulation of online gaming in many countries or jurisdictions in Latin America, such as Peru, Brazil, and some provinces in Argentina, what do you think about these recent advances? How are they impacting the company's operations?
Digitain has always been in favor of markets being regulated. We believe that this is the destiny of any market that strives to protect players and suppliers. What we hope as a company is that the regulators do an excellent job that allows the gaming industry to grow and create a healthy environment and ecosystem between operators and suppliers.
For us, it is always beneficial because working in a regulated and legal framework does not have a negative side if the regulation is correct.
Digitain is not only characterized by working in these regulated markets, but this also drives us to be able to develop better products for our operator partners, with cutting-edge technology attached to the latest regulatory frameworks.
Are there any of the countries in the region that we mentioned that present more opportunities than others, or more challenges than others?
Each country has its peculiarities, they are very different if we compare them one to another. Argentina, Brazil, or Peru, we are talking about totally different worlds. But the beautiful thing is that we believe that we are ready and prepared to meet any potential challenges and, consequently, to achieve the success of our partners.
Have you brought any specific product or solution for this event to show to the Argentinean public?
The star solution that we always bring to Latin America is our Sportsbook, certified by GLI and winner of multiple B2B industry awards. It is a product that is very well adapted to the market. We see that players and the public love to use our product.

We are not going to stand still because we know that we have new and big challenges with regulations, and Digitain will always be at the forefront and up to date with modern technologies. The team assigned to Latin America is an excellent group of professionals; each one is focused on our strategic objectives and that is what also characterizes us as a company.
How was your time at SAGSE and your first impressions of your return to Argentina?
It's always nice to spend time and be at the SAGSE shows. We see a lot of industry acquaintances and friends. Usually, it is always quite dynamic and exciting to be able to see colleagues who contribute to this industry and make the market grow and develop. That is extremely positive.

What other upcoming events in Latin America are you planning to attend in the next few months?
On the events roadmap, we have GAT Expo Cartagena, in Colombia, as the next step. Then we have SiGMA Americas, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. And in June we will attend PGS in Peru.
The main reason for attending these tradeshows is to continue developing the business we currently have, consolidate it, and strengthen it more and more.
