Cryptocurrency-based sports betting and casino platform Stake has confirmed the signing of UFC Light-Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira as its latest global ambassador in a multi-year partnership. The Brazilian is a multi-weight world champion in kickboxing and MMA, becoming just the third fighter in history to be inducted into the Glory Hall of Fame.
Stake says that Pereira has continued to wow fans with his scintillating skills inside the Octagon and his cool demeanor outside of it. Notably, his incredible rise and subsequent move to the UFC has seen him become the first fighter in UFC history to ever win the Middleweight and Light-Heavyweight titles - doing so in just seven UFC fights. 'Poatan' is now set to headline the historic UFC 300 card in April, where he will defend his 205lbs title against Jamahal Hill in Las Vegas.
Pereira joins fellow UFC athletes Alexa Grasso, Amanda Ribas, Jailton Almeida, Alexandre Pantoja, and Israel Adesanya as part of the Stake.com team.
Commenting on the partnership, Pereira said: "I'm delighted to be working with Stake.com and joining their exciting team.
"I've watched on with interest as they have become more involved with the UFC, especially Israel Adesanya. As I have mentioned, I would be open to training with Adesanya and I look forward to hopefully crossing paths at some point again in the future."

"We look forward to welcoming Alex's fans around the world into the Stake.com family as we celebrate the exciting news about him headlining the historic UFC 300 card with one of the true icons of the Fight Game.
"Who knows, we could even see a link-up with his longtime nemesis Israel Adesanya in the future..."
Stake on its website describes Pereira as a highly skilled individual who excels in high-pressure situations. He has featured on the card of six pay-per-views events in seven UFC fights, showcasing his elite skills, and relishes taking on new challenges.
“It's no surprise that his qualities perfectly align with our goal of revolutionizing our industry, making him an integral part of our team,” the company notes.
Poatan will underline his box office credentials when he features in the main event at the hotly anticipated UFC 300. With a huge social media following of 2.5 million fans, he is an excellent match for Stake, aligning with our objective of partnering with the biggest and best names in sports. “We are thrilled to be partnering with another of the top talents in the UFC and are thrilled to invite his fans to our platform,” it added.
