Gun Lake Casino (GLC) has been recognized as one of the best companies to work for in West Michigan by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). This is the fifth consecutive year that the GLC has been distinguished for its workplace environment and employee-focused initiatives.
This honor comes as the company plans its next phase of growth amid its $300 million expansion plans. The competition, which encompasses thousands of companies across West Michigan, highlights companies that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to excellence in various aspects of employee engagement.
“We are thrilled and honored to be recognized once again by the National Association for Business Resources,” said Sal Semola, CEO of GLC. “This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive workplace where our team members can thrive.”
The award criteria include: excellence in communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention, and more.
“At Gun Lake Casino, our team members are our most valuable asset,” said Endea Smith, VP of Human Resources. “We continually strive to create an environment where all team members feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.”
“Our consistent commitment to excellence towards team members will be a compelling reason for more top-notch applicants to join our team,” said Jose Flores, SVP and General Manager.
Last month, the casino named Trevor Hayden as its new Vice President of Operations. Under this role, Hayden will oversee various departments, including gaming, operations, and facilities. He joins GLC as it undergoes its Phase 5 expansion.
