The South Point hotel-casino in Las Vegas announced that renovations worth $6 million have been completed. The resort, which is located 6.5 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip, has finished an upgrade of 84 suites on the 25th floor.
The renovations included upgrading the flooring, furnishings, and overall accommodations. Guests can now stay in the newly renovated suites at the hotel-casino, available for booking.
South Point said that the renovations started back in August 2023. The upgraded suites range from one to two bedrooms and include a living area, a dining area that can accommodate six people, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Strip, the mountains, or the South Point’s pool.
According to the resort, the suites can span up to 2,500 square feet and the main living areas offer a bar and sofa seating. The main bedroom in the suites has a walk-in closet and a Roman tub in the bathroom. The suites also have multiple televisions throughout, plush mattresses, and enhanced bath amenities, the resort said.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, suites make up a small portion of the rooms at South Point as the resort has 2,100 guestrooms. The Michael Gaughan-owned off-Strip hotel-casino houses one of the largest gaming floors in Clark County, and is popular for having a large equestrian center.
"Each oversized guest room functions more like a mini-suite with state-of-the-art LG 50-inch 4K televisions and high-speed internet. All accommodations feature the finest amenities and materials," the resort notes on its website.
