Sports betting company Circa Sports has expanded its operations into Kentucky with the launch of its mobile betting app. The debut was facilitated through a licensing deal with ECL Corbin at its Cumberland Run harness track.

This launch marks the fifth state for Circa Sports, following its operations in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and Nevada. The Circa Sports Kentucky app is now available for download and can be funded remotely from anywhere within the state.

"We are thrilled to launch Circa Sports in the great state of Kentucky," said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports. "We’ve always had our sights set here as we know it is a major hub for college sports, horse racing, and more. We are looking forward to providing Kentucky bettors with some of the best odds and expertise out there."

The app is available to patrons aged 18 and over. Key features include high betting limits, tight money line splits, transparent odds, higher-than-most betting limits, and exceptional customer service, says Circa Sports.

Marc Falcone, co-owner of ECL Corbin, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: "We’re delighted to welcome Circa Sports to the Commonwealth as a sports betting partner. They allow us to offer another amenity to complement our existing gaming."

Wagers on the Circa Sports Kentucky app can only be placed while the user is within Kentucky state lines. The minimum deposit is $20, with payment options including Play+, ACH (VIP Preferred), Wire Transfer, and Debit/Credit Cards via VISA and MasterCard.

Circa Sports enters a competitive market in Kentucky, dominated by DraftKings and FanDuel, which collectively account for 75% of the handle. Kentucky’s sports betting market, which launched in September 2023, has generated nearly $1.4 billion in wagers through February 2024, resulting in nearly $24 million in tax revenue.

Other operators in the state include BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, ESPN BET, bet365, and Fanatics Sportsbook. Prime Sports is also expected to launch in Kentucky in 2024.
