Crystal Palace Football Club has secured a deal with Net88 to feature the online gaming platform on the front of the club's shirts for the 2024-25 Premier League season.
This partnership also expands Net88's visibility to include training wear, the official club website, and signage at Selhurst Park stadium. Barry Webber, Palace's Chief Commercial Officer, stated: “We’re pleased to announce this principal partnership ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign as we build upon the excellent form of the men’s team at the end of last season."
“Net88 is a global online gaming platform for sports and gaming fans alike and we’re looking forward to working with them at this exciting time.”
A Net88 spokesperson added: “Everyone at Net88 is excited to work with Crystal Palace after a fantastic end to last season. We are delighted to join a club that is moving forward with their great young talent.”
Similarly, Wolverhampton Wanderers has inked a two-year agreement with DEBET, a Southeast Asian gambling brand. The deal positions DEBET's branding on Wolves' playing shirts and official training wear starting from the upcoming season.
Russell Jones, Wolves’ General Manager for Marketing and Commercial Growth, said: “Since our discussions began, we’ve been impressed with their professional approach and their appointment of knowledgeable individuals, who will be dedicated to making sure this partnership is a success."
“We look forward to working with DEBET over the next two seasons to grow the presence of both brands internationally.”
DEBET spokesperson Alan Alger added: “Wolves is a prestigious club and everyone at DEBET is proud to be part of the biggest principal partner deal the club has ever signed.”
Both clubs have emphasized that these deals constitute record partnerships in their respective histories and follow the Premier League's decision to ban gambling shirt sponsorships starting in the 2025-26 season. Agreements made before this deadline are permitted, as long as they conclude ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
The impending ban has spurred a rush among clubs to secure agreements with gambling brands before the deadline. Aston Villa recently partnered with Betano, while other Premier League clubs like Brentford and Everton have also entered into similar arrangements with betting companies.
Meanwhile, north of the border, the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) has forged a five-year sponsorship deal with William Hill, covering all divisions from the 2024-25 season onwards.
