WagerWire has launched a new feature allowing fantasy players to buy and sell live daily fantasy Pick’em entries through its app, available on iOS and Google Play stores. This is the first time that fantasy players can legally trade their entries with just a tap, says the sports gaming marketplace technology company.

Users can now buy and sell Real Time Fantasy Sports (RTFS) entries on the WagerWire app, with additional fantasy operators expected to be integrated soon. The integration with RTFS, announced in January 2024, enables users to sell their Pick’em lineups in progress, even during games. During the NFL playoffs, 12% of DFS Pick’em lineups were sold on the secondary market.

“This is a paradigm-shifting moment for fantasy,” said Zach Doctor, co-founder and CEO of WagerWire. “This launch represents a way to bring more ownership and control over their entries. For the first time, there is a way to cash in on your lineups even if they go on to lose - by selling it to a friend or on the open market. The excitement is palpable.”

The app also includes various marketplace tools for sports betting and fantasy, such as stat tracking, account syncing, bet value graph builders, and social features that allow users to follow their friends, influencers, and professional gamblers.

Braiden Payne, a veteran RTFS user, said: “I’ve been playing fantasy for years, but being able to sell my DFS lineups is game-changing. I’m also loving being able to buy and sell in-game and see the progress of my picks with live price suggestions. The RT marketplace in the WagerWire app takes an already great and easy-to-use experience to the next level.”

WagerWire, a subsidiary of Wire Industries, Inc., has earned multiple award nominations, including at SBC North America and EGR. The company launched in 2021 with a seed round led by Miami Marlins co-owner Roger Ehrenberg, Eberg Capital, and NBA All-Star Richard Jefferson. It partners with top US sportsbooks, including BetMGM, Caesars, and FanDuel, and its content has garnered over 250 million views in the past year.

WagerWire’s technology allows fantasy players and bettors to treat their entries and bets as tradable assets. The app’s marketplace technology, certified by GLI-33, can be embedded into sportsbook apps and powers an aggregated marketplace across partner sportsbooks.
