Four Queens Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas announces $24 million renovation of North Tower

The Four Queens Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas is undergoing a $24 million renovation project, focusing on the rooms of its North Tower. The comprehensive overhaul, announced on Monday, aims to modernize and upgrade the facilities that have been in place since 1966.

Tim Lager, the general manager of Four Queens, stated in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the renovation will involve a complete "gutting" and "modernization" of the North Tower. The last major renovation of this part of the hotel occurred in the late 1990s.

"It was time for us to go in, especially for our systems, like plumbing and HVAC," Lager explained. "We can gut it and make it all fresh."

The project will introduce new closet organizers, carpets, furnishings, and updated HVAC and plumbing systems. Additionally, the renovations will address common guest complaints by creating larger bathrooms and installing sound-dampening windows to mitigate noise from the nearby Fremont Street Experience.

The North Tower comprises 300 rooms, which will be unavailable during the renovation. However, the hotel's South Tower, with its 400 rooms, will remain open throughout the process. Lager mentioned that the South Tower recently underwent its own updates and will not be included in the current project.

Renovations began in June, with an anticipated completion timeline of 12 to 15 months. The goal is to have the North Tower fully operational by next summer, restoring the Four Queens to its full room capacity.
