GAT Caribe Cancun promises "a unique platform" for training, exhibition and networking in Latam's gaming industry

The organizers of the Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT Expo) shared more details about the debut of GAT Caribe Cancun, which will take place November 26 - 28 in Mexico's first beach destination. According to what they said, the event plans to bring together a large community of gaming industry professionals from Mexico, Central America, and South America, offering a "unique platform" for training, exhibition of technological innovations, and networking.

To carry out GAT Caribe Cancun, the organizers have formed an alliance with the Entertainment and Gaming Industry Association of Mexico (AIEJA), presided by Miguel Angel Ochoa. AIEJA will hold its year-end General Assembly on November 26, within the framework of this fair, which will be attended by its full membership representing casino groups, manufacturers, suppliers, online platforms, and related business partners.

"We have found an extraordinary interest in the project and the enthusiasm of brands and traditional clients of GAT events who have confirmed their participation, presence, and support in the general program, which will have conferences and panels relevant to the current situation of the industry in the country and the region, in an academic day with regulatory and technological updates," said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT.

GAT Caribe Cancun will place special emphasis on emerging trends in online casinos, sports betting, and e-sports, sectors that are experiencing unstoppable growth and transforming the digital entertainment industry. High-speed Internet access has popularized these games in Mexico, offering a market of more than 80 million people, and technological availability to play or bet from mobile devices.

GAT Expo explained that online casinos have increased the social acceptance of gambling, which is encouraging a greater entry of international operators into the market since Mexican players have access to a variety of gaming platforms without significant restrictions.

In Mexico, there are more than 230 land-based casinos in operation and a regulatory improvement is expected to activate their growth with greater legal certainty. Manufacturers and suppliers of casino machines that decide to be exhibitors with a stand at GAT Caribe Cancun will be able to count on the benefits offered by the Mexican Ministry of Economy for the temporary importation of tax-exempt machines and equipment, a process carried out by the GAT organization hand in hand with AIEJA.

GAT Caribe Cancun will be held at the Cancun Center, a large venue with 14,000 square meters of exhibition and conference halls. Progress is being made in defining alliances in general production, logistics, customs, and hospitality for clients and visitors.

The organization also said that the marketing and sales processes “are advancing at a very good pace", bringing together corporate brands with businesses throughout Latin America, belonging to a strengthened ecosystem with operating bases in several jurisdictions on the continent and goals to access new markets.

Pragmatic Play has once again taken the lead as Premium Sponsor of GAT Caribe Cancun. Another prominent sponsor is BetConstruct, which will participate in the Platinum category. Amusnet, Cactus Gaming, Betconnections, Oklahoma, BYA Group, and Fast Track have also secured their places in the exhibition. In the coming days, the arrival of half a dozen more exhibitors with whom contracts are being finalized will be announced.
