Betting holding company BetBoom announced that it officially obtained a local permit to operate gambling activities in Peru. Its international project operates online and offers betting on its website and mobile platforms and, according to the operator, the application for Android will soon be available for download.

"Obtaining the Peruvian license opens new opportunities to promote our project. We are already developing a marketing communication plan and opening new traffic channels, considering platforms for our digital expansion,” said the press office of the international project BetBoom.

The company also announced that Rikardo “Mr.Choco” Mendoza, a popular Peruvian streamer, is now a BetBoom ambassador. Known for his broadcasts on Twitch, Kick, and YouTube, with an audience of 180,000 followers, 'Mr.Choco' is a prominent figure in the Dota 2 community, as well as a regular commentator for Tier 1 tournaments such as The International and Riyadh Masters.

BetBoom is already a sponsor of Peruvian company ESB's Elite League tournament, which will be held in Lima in August 2024. Last year, the holding company supported the execution of Lima Major 2023, which featured top-tier Dota 2 teams such as Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, and Talon Esports.

Furthermore, the company is a global sponsor of eSports organizations such as BetBoom Team and Team Spirit, as well as broadcasts of Tier 1 Dota 2 and CS:GO tournaments. According to BetBoom, the development of these disciplines “is a priority for the company, as it strengthens the brand internationally, attracts new users and partners, and increases recognition in the eSports community."

It should be noted that BetBoom began operations in Latin America in 2022, positioning itself as an eSports betting operator with a broad sports line and gambling products. That is why, for the company, obtaining licenses in countries of the region is key to its international development strategy. Previously, it had already received authorization to operate games of chance in Mexico.
