RG24seven Virtual Training was founded in 2022 by BMM Innovation Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Martin Storm and longtime BMM executive Wendy Anderson to fill a void in the global gaming industry—effective, affordable, responsible gaming training that is accessible to every gaming employee everywhere.

For Storm, who acquired BMM Testlabs in 2005, responsible gaming is the backbone of BMM’s mission—to protect the gambling industry and all who gamble. BMM Testlabs seeks to safeguard the industry and its players daily by testing, inspecting and certifying games, systems, and every technology used in land-based and online gaming to any standards established or adopted by gaming regulators.

Storm and Anderson recognized that education is foundational to ensuring a strong and sustainable gaming industry. Together, they developed a virtual training and education platform, created a course library on the most important topics around responsible gaming and technology, and launched RG24seven as a standalone company under the BMM Innovation Group umbrella.

Today, RG24seven offers compliance-grade courses covering Responsible Gaming, Anti-Money Laundering, Human Trafficking Awareness, Corporate Social Responsibility, Testing, Compliance & Regulatory, Casino Games and Technology, to name a few. Its mission: to do good by providing the world’s leading responsible, effective, and free compliance-grade virtual training service for casino and gaming company employees.

Yogonet caught up with Anderson earlier this week to see what’s new with RG24seven Virtual Training.

It sounds like the first half of 2024 was very successful for RG24seven. Can you share some of the highlights?

Yes, it has been a busy six months! To start, we launched our new system, which included a complete refresh of all our training and a new Responsible Gaming program presented by industry experts. We also released our Human Trafficking Awareness Training for casino employees, in partnership with the American Gaming Association.

As a result of our success and the growing demand for our training, we have doubled our total number of learners year-over-year. We have thousands of learners on RG24seven representing organizations from the U.S., UK, Europe, and the rest of the world.

Wendy, there are many new and emerging gaming markets, including Brazil. What does RG24seven Virtual Training offer to help these new markets launch successfully?

As regulations evolve and new markets open, we know that regulators and operators are very focused on developing and promoting responsible practices to protect players and gaming establishments.

In Brazil, for example, we encourage every Brazilian gaming regulator, operator, and supplier to make our Responsible Gaming virtual training available for their employees and we hope other emerging and new markets take advantage of our rich learnings experiences as well.

Our Responsible Gaming training, offered with Portuguese and Spanish subtitles, provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of problem gaming, including signs and symptoms, how to address problem gambling in the workplace, details on setting limits, self-exclusion programs, cultural considerations, who it can affect, where to find help and more.

You recently announced a new partnership in the UK. Can you share more?

We partnered with Better Change, a UK company dedicated to promoting positive play, to bring safer gambling training to UK online and land-based gambling employees.

Based on our shared mission and values, our goal with Better Change is to empower UK gambling employees to be advocates for the players and the industry, recognizing that gambling is a pastime enjoyed by more than 76,000 adults in the UK alone.

What type of learning content do you offer globally?

We offer virtual courses created and presented by industry experts covering topics every gaming company employee should be knowledgeable about, including Responsible Gaming, Anti-Money Laundering, Testing, Compliance and Regulatory, Safety and Security, Casino Games and Sports Betting, New Technologies, Tribal Gaming, and Human Trafficking Awareness.

Tell us about the RG24seven platform and how the courses are delivered to gaming industry employees.

Our robust and fully virtual training system is accessible through a web browser anywhere in the world via desktop, mobile phones, or tablets. We deliver the training through short, engaging videos presented by industry professionals from across the globe.

The courses include quizzes to check for comprehension, and certificates for all learners once the courses are completed. Managers can track, measure and monitor employee progress through real-time reporting that meets and exceeds all regulatory, compliance, and auditing requirements.

For a fee, we can even brand the training with an organization’s logo and corporate identity to make it very company-specific, and we can create customized videos and content based on our client’s needs.

What’s next for RG24seven Virtual Training?

We have a busy year ahead. Following our recent launch in the UK, we’re focused on continuing to create and deliver new and relevant content for the global gaming industry. We encourage everyone to see us at the Global Gaming Expo this October in Las Vegas to learn more, or visit our website at rg24seven.com for a free demo.
