Play'n GO launches mobster-themed slot Mafia Gold

iGaming content provider Play’n GO has unveiled a new mobster-themed slot game titled Mafia Gold.

The 5x4 crime caper lays out a gritty narrative where rival gangs vie for control of the city’s wealth and power, the company said of its backstory. In the game, players must outsmart and outgun their enemies to claim "the ultimate prize." As rookies in the mafia, they will climb the ranks using cunning and firepower to defeat their foes.

With crime and large wads of cash in the centerfold, players may find the title harkens back to the likes of Play’n GO titles Mission Cash, Ruff Heist and Cash Vandal, the supplier said.



During standard gameplay, the Feature Reel holds multipliers activated by landing the High-Paying Mafia Boss symbol with a Golden Frame on the same row, upping the players’ potential winnings alongside the Drive-By Feature.

Players can unlock Free Spins by landing up to five Scatter symbols on the reels, awarding up to twenty Free Spins. During this feature, players collect bullets and prize values from the Feature Reel. Each bullet reduces the life of rival mafia members, with four foes each having ten hit points.

Defeating these mafia members rewards players with five additional Free Spins and transforms their symbols into the high-paying Mafia Boss, further boosting potential.

By defeating all four mafia members, players enter the Cash Hit Feature. The Feature Reel will now only contain blanks or safe values. Each golden-framed Mafia Boss collects safe values on the same row, adding to the players’ total cash winnings.
