UK: Grosvenor Casino Leicester reopens following $3.8M renovation

Grosvenor Casino Leicester in the UK has reopened its doors following a £3 million ($3.8 million) transformation. The upgraded casino includes a new sports lounge, a poker room, and an outdoor electronic gaming terrace. The refurbishment has also created 30 new jobs across food & beverage managers and gaming hosts. 

The casino on Highcross Street held a relaunch party on Saturday to celebrate its refurbishment into "a modern entertainment destination fit for the future."

The relaunch celebration kicked off with a special Olympic Games viewing party before a host of games and promotions saw £6,000 ($7,694) worth of prizes won on the night. Live entertainment including bhangra dancers, dhol drummers, and a DJ "helped to keep the party alive into the early hours," according to the casino.

According to Grosvenor Casino, sports fans can now enjoy "some of the best sports viewing in the city" with feature wall screens where they can watch and bet live with Grosvenor Sport, while the gaming experience has been upgraded with state-of-the-art tables and new Electronic Roulette terminals.

Guests visiting Grosvenor Casino Leicester from August 13 to September 13 can earn a chance to enter Grosvenor Casino's brand new game, Codebreaker, where £2,000 is up for grabs.

Players must spin Grosvenor’s Wheel of Wins in the casino to land a golden ticket to play Codebreaker. Players will need to crack a four-digit code and if no one guesses correctly, £2,000 will be added to the jackpot every week until the correct code is guessed, for a potential maximum Codebreaker win of £8,000.
