Sports data solutions provider FeedConstruct announced a new partnership with the Malta Premier League, enhancing its European football data portfolio with coverage of all matches starting from the upcoming MPL 2024/25 season.
The Malta Premier League will introduce a fresh format featuring 12 clubs competing in an Opening Round and Closing Round, with potential playoffs depending on club positions. "This innovative structure promises to bring added excitement to the league," according to a press release.
The Malta Premier League is the highest level of professional football in Malta, with a rich history dating back to its inception in 1909 as the First Division. The league has seen fierce competition over the years, with Sliema Wanderers and Floriana each winning the title a record 26 times. The current champions, Ħamrun Spartans, claimed their 10th title last season.
The company said the partnership with the Malta Premier League expands its European football coverage and solidifies its position as a leading sports data provider.
