California team the San Francisco 49ers has announced an extension of its partnership with Mexican bookmaker Foliatti Casino, which is the first international sports betting agreement for a team in the history of the National Football League (NFL).
It is worth noting that in November 2023, the San Francisco 49ers signed an alliance with Foliatti Casino to enter the regulated market in Mexico and expand the international coverage of the top American football division.
Ryan Connors, Senior Director of Global Sales and Strategy for the San Francisco 49ers, said: "Both the 49ers and Foliatti continue to break boundaries in our respective industries, and we are excited to continue this iconic partnership together. The strengthening of this alliance will offer our loyal Mexicans a great deal this season through new and engaging content, both in-person and online."
For her part, Pamela Loman Huerta, Foliatti Casino's Director of Online Operations, added: "This is an achievement that reaffirms our commitment to sports and entertainment, which drives us to continue innovating to offer unforgettable experiences to our customers and 49ers fans."
"We want to thank all of the 49ers fans who joined us last year, and whose enthusiasm and loyalty were crucial to the success of this partnership. We are excited about the upcoming season and all the surprises we have in store for our loyal fans," she added.
Under the new agreement, Foliatti Casino will present several official 49ers events in Mexico and will also host exclusive fan experiences, such as meet and greets with former players at its casinos throughout the year. In addition, the bookmaker will publish content through the 49ers' official ESP social media channels.
Meanwhile, Foliatti Casino will also be able to use the 49ers trademarks to promote its sports betting business to legal consumers in Mexico.
Other non-sports betting promotions, including entertainment, slots, and digital games on foliatticasino.mx, will remain part of the original international casino and iGaming partnership.
