iGaming technology provider SOFTSWISS has introduced its new Retail Betting Solution, made possible by its acquisition of a majority stake in South African software provider Turfsport earlier in the year. The new solution aims to support diverse betting activities, including sports betting, horse racing, lotteries, and casino games, and will enable operators to establish offline gambling businesses quickly and legally.

The launch of the Retail Betting Solution comes as the global sports betting and lotteries market recovers from the impact of the pandemic. Although the industry’s revenue had declined over the past five years, bringing it to an estimated EUR 219 billion ($243 billion) in 2024, it has seen signs of recovery this year, with a 0.4% growth in revenue and profit margins jumping to 14.1%.

Max Trafimovich, CCO at SOFTSWISS, said: “The Retail Betting Solution reflects our strong dedication to innovation and industry leadership. After acquiring the majority stake in Turfsport, we conducted a thorough audit of the solution to ensure it will not only continue to thrive in South Africa but also make a significant impact beyond the country.

"This is not just another sports betting solution – it is a comprehensive platform that enhances the entire gambling experience, from lotteries to the most popular casino games, keeping pace with market trends and player expectations.”

Leveraging its partnership with Turfsport, SOFTSWISS has integrated advanced functionalities into the Retail Betting Solution. The platform seamlessly integrates retail and online channels, allowing players to manage their accounts across different platforms. Real-time risk monitoring, custom reports, and diverse configurations to accommodate various shop setups are also among the solution’s advanced features.

The platform supports a wide range of betting options, including RNG-based and live casino games from leading providers such as Betgames, Evolution, Ezugi, and Pragmatic Play, available at kiosks within betting shops. Players can also bet on sports and social events, with comprehensive event and odds data provided by industry-leading sources.

Additionally, the new SOFTSWISS Lotto Software enables betting on outcomes from over 300 international lotteries, offering operators the flexibility to create custom lottery events.

SOFTSWISS will showcase the new Retail Betting Solution and Lotto Software at the SBC Summit in Lisbon from September 24 to 26, where company representatives will be available at stand B-160.
