Boyd Gaming Corporation opened a state-of-the-art sportsbook at Suncoast Hotel & Casino in west Las Vegas on Wednesday, marking a key milestone in the property’s ongoing renovation.

The new sportsbook, which replaces the former Suncoast Showroom, was unveiled just in time for the upcoming football season. Boyd Gaming executives led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a ceremonial first bet and an exclusive tour of the facility.

Key features of the sportsbook include a wrap-around LED video wall that stands 15.5 feet tall and spans 1,700 square feet. The space also includes deco-inspired booths, rows of lounge seating, and an 18-seat bar.

“Today’s grand opening of the new Suncoast Sportsbook showcases our continued commitment to provide an enhanced gaming experience for our customers and neighbors near Summerlin, and the entire northwest Las Vegas community,” said Steve Schutte, Boyd’s executive vice president of operations, in a statement.

To celebrate the opening, the first 200 guests who placed a bet at the sports counter on Thursday received a branded water bottle. On Saturday, September 7, the first 200 bettors who wager $50 or more will be rewarded with a branded sports towel.

In addition, special guest Steph MacKenzie is set to broadcast live from the casino every Sunday during football season for radio station 97.1 The Point.

The new sportsbook is part of a broader transformation effort at Suncoast Casino. Upcoming plans include the construction of a new bingo room off the casino floor, expanded banquet and meeting spaces, a modernized bowling center, the addition of a new food hall concept, and a remodeling of the casino floor.
