Allwyn, a multinational lottery operator headquartered in Switzerland, has completed its acquisition of a 70% stake in Instant Win Gaming Limited (IWG), a supplier of digital instant win games. IWG's co-founders, Rhydian Fisher and Simon Bucknall, will continue in their roles as CEO and COO, respectively.

IWG, with 20 years of experience, is recognized for developing digital games for global lottery operators. Each year, it creates over 250 new instant games, supported by its InstantRGS platform, which operates in multiple regulated markets. Allwyn’s acquisition of IWG reinforces its lottery-first approach, focusing on recreational gaming, technology, and efficiency across Europe and the United States.

EPOS (electronic point of sale) technology company MADIC UK recently partnered with European lottery group Allwyn to integrate the UK National Lottery into its next-generation EPOS solution evoPOS.

The two companies will jointly launch a prototype of the National Lottery-integrated EPOS technology at the National Forecourt Show 2024 and will be displaying it for the first time at stand N20.

The prototype will demonstrate how retailers will be able to sell The National Lottery at any EPOS and self-checkout integrated with evoPOS solution. The new technology will make sales of National Lottery draw-based games possible for the first time at forecourt EPOS and self-checkouts, increasing sales opportunities for retailers.
