GAT Showcase Bogotá 2024 confirms itself as a business and networking epicenter for industry leaders

The organization Gaming & Technology Expo (GAT Events)  highlighted the recent edition of GAT Showcase Bogota, event that took place on September 6 at the Sheraton Bogota Hotel and that, after eight continuous hours, confirmed itself "as one of the most vibrant business and networking platforms for the gaming industry".

The organization affirmed that the event established itself as a"relevant commercial showcase of supply and demand of products and services", as well as "epicenter of meetings of business leaders and operators from all the regions" of Colombia.

In line with this, the organizers pointed out that GAT Showcase Bogota meant for the attendees "the opportunity to carry out commercial exchanges and strategic alliances updating their portfolios and equipment for large casinos and gaming halls."

It is worth mentioning that GAT Showcase Bogota 2024 counted with the participation of 22 sponsoring and exhibiting brands, including Pragmatic Play as Premium Sponsor; and BetPlay, BetConstruct, and Altenar as Platinum Sponsors.

Among the exhibiting firms were Novomatic, IGT, Interblock, Win Systems, Aristocrat, Mer Design, Highlight Games, BetConstruct, Grupo Gelsa, Pay Retailers, Air Dice, Gaming Laboratories International GLI, Blue Tower Games, Gem Solutions, Mobadoo, Hotel Las Américas, Janus and Formula Racing. The associations Cornazar, Asojuegos, Fecoljuegos, and Fedelco also participated.

The organization noted that the 980 executives from different sectors of the industry present in Bogota came from 20 countries: Armenia, Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Finland, India, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.

According to GAT Events, these numbers underline the importance and attractiveness of the event for suppliers and buyers of equipment for land-based casinos, sports betting platforms, and online games.

In this regard, José Aníbal Aguirre, the General Director of Gaming & Technology, stated: "We had some doubts and concerns with the event's attendance, since during the previous days, and even on the eve of its inauguration, there was a situation of closure and delay of land transportation in the country, which fortunately did not stop our clients, friends and followers from meeting with their peers and colleagues at GAT Showcase Bogotá in a productive marathon of meetings."

"This gives me great satisfaction, as well as testimonials from exhibitors and sponsors, assuring to have achieved results in sales and partnerships that far exceeded their initial expectations," Aguirre added.

GAT Esports at GAT Showcase

The day before the fair, GAT Esports Academy was held, a day that welcomed authorities, specialists, and gamers' communities. During the event, teams of young competitors went into action in Valorant and Counter-Strike tournaments, in a set designed to suit the scenarios of these cybersports experiences.

With the sponsorship of BetPlay, the central theme was the virtual betting game with artificial intelligence "Battlefront", from the company Mobadoo, which attracted a varied gamer community, streamers, and influencers.

The winners received awards and special prizes over COP 100 million, including scholarships from the University of Cataluña, stays in hotels of the Hotel Las Américas group, cash, peripherals, and other prizes.

Next stop: Dominican Republic

Finally, GAT Events reminded us that the next stop will be the Dominican Republic, where GAT Showcase Santo Domingo will be held on September 18 and 19. 
All verticals of the game will be represented, and "a similar atmosphere of success" is expected at both the academy and the exhibition.
