Superbet Group appoints Sacha Dragic as Co-CEO

Superbet founder Sacha Dragic has returned to the company as Co-CEO, marking a leadership shift. After stepping away from the role for five years, Dragic will now lead the company alongside Jimmy Maymann, who was appointed CEO earlier this year.

The leadership changes at Superbet also include the appointment of Sameen Jalal as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Albert Simsensohn as Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Andrei Dusu as Chief Product Officer (CPO). The new leadership team has been tasked with accelerating the company's growth plans as it continues to expand its presence in key markets.

Commenting on Dragic’s return, Maymann said: "This has been a year of significant growth in our journey to becoming a product-led company. Our regional strategy is accelerating at pace, as market leader in Romania, number one brand in Belgium, very strong growth rates in Poland, and pursuing a podium position in Serbia." 

"However, alongside the growth we see in our Brazil operation there is a more global set of opportunities that we will capture. It’s clear that Sacha will bring a game-changing impact in returning to the business to help us to move faster to the next phase of our growth," he added.

Superbet has been expanding its footprint through various partnerships, including a recent collaboration with Greentube that enhanced its offerings in Latin America. As the company continues its regional dominance in Romania, Belgium, and Poland, it is also aiming for growth in Brazil and other international markets.

Dragic stated: “At Superbet we have always planned many horizons ahead with ambition and I’m pleased to see the progress and speed with which the team have been growing and scaling the business to meet this ambition."
