The SBC Summit is set to debut its Super Stage at Lisbon’s MEO Arena, featuring a star-studded lineup that includes renowned figures from sports and technology. The three-day event will spotlight legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, World Wide Web inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Portuguese football icon Luís Figo, Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, and UFC star Merab Dvalishvili.
The event, scheduled to take place from September 24-26, will attract 25,000 professionals from the sports betting and iGaming industries, with a focus on innovation, growth, and leadership.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO of SBC, highlighted the significance of the Super Stage. “This event is about more than just business—it’s about inspiring each other, pushing boundaries, and celebrating the incredible community we’re building together,” he said. His session, moderated by Wondr Nation CEO Anika Howard, will delve into the growing role of AI in information sharing and its implications for the future.

UFC fighter Merab Dvalishvili, known for his relentless fighting style, will talk about his rise in mixed martial arts, exploring how the sport’s global growth is creating new opportunities in media and business partnerships.
The Super Stage will also feature sessions on sports data and fan engagement, with Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl scheduled to speak on the transformative impact of AI and immersive technologies on the betting industry.
In a key session, the “Europe Leaders” panel will bring together CEOs from major European gaming companies to discuss regulatory challenges and strategies for growth in a shifting market. The summit will also explore the rising influence of women in the gaming and gambling sectors, with a series of talks dedicated to female leadership.
