Philadelphia-based sports betting operator Sporttrade announced that its app is now live in Arizona, its fourth state in the US. Sporttrade launched the app in the state, along with strategic partner Quechan Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation, California & Arizona, and notes that it will offer the only differentiated experience to players in the State. Sporttrade also operates in Iowa and Colorado as a sportsbook and offers exchange wagering in New Jersey.
Sporttrade has taken over the license that was previously held by Unibet, which exited the US market in June.
"Today we're incredibly proud to announce we've launched in Arizona," said Alex Kane, Sporttrade Founder and CEO. "There is impressive demand for our offering in Arizona because players want a premium option."
"Sporttrade is a perfect option for players looking to try the future of in-game wagering; incredible prices, near-instant bet acceptance, and the option to view prices in an intuitive probability-based odds format," said Kane. "Thank you to the Arizona Department of Gaming, thank you to our players, partners, and investors, and most of all, I want to thank the Sporttrade family of employees."
"The Quechan Tribe is excited to partner with Sporttrade and their innovations in the sports betting marketplace." said Quechan President Jordan Joaquin, "Quechan's statewide mobile sports betting partnership with Sporttrade introduces an exciting new platform of wagering and will provide new and expanded gaming opportunities throughout Arizona and which will provide economic benefits for our tribe."
Qualified and eligible players will be able to place bets starting today in Arizona on the Sporttrade iOS and Android mobile applications.
Arizona allows 20 online sports betting licensees, 10 of which must partner with tribal nations. The state's operators recorded $3.78 billion in betting handle, through the first six months of 2024. However, the state’s market has witnessed several changes over the past few months, with a number small operators leaving the state.
Among the operators to exit the state during the summer were WynnBet, Unibet, SuperBook, SaharaBets, and Super Group’s Betway. Most recently, Betfred announced that it has stopped taking new sign-ups and bets and will end all operations in Arizona on November 4th.
