Golden Entertainment has named Skylar Dice as senior vice president and general manager of The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod. In this new role, Dice will lead all aspects of the resort’s operations, overseeing its 2,427-room hotel, 80,000-square-foot casino, and the tallest freestanding observation tower in the U.S.
Dice first joined The STRAT in 2021 as vice president and assistant general manager, quickly becoming essential in guiding day-to-day operations. His promotion follows a tenure where he focused on enhancing service, increasing efficiency, and implementing growth strategies for The STRAT.
“Skylar has demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational expertise during his time at The STRAT,” stated Blake Sartini II, executive vice president and COO of Golden Entertainment. “We are confident in his ability to continue enhancing the guest experience while driving growth across all areas of the property."
Prior to his time at The STRAT, Dice served as vice president and general manager at Rocky Gap Casino Resort, another Golden Entertainment property, where he managed a AAA Four Diamond Hotel and the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
Dice’s career in gaming and hospitality began in 1997 as a dealer at Turtle Creek Casino in Michigan, progressing through leadership roles at major casinos across the country. His experience spans renowned properties such as Greektown Casino-Hotel in Detroit, Four Winds Casinos in Indiana, and Red Hawk Casino in California.
Dice said: “I’m honored to take on the role of general manager at The STRAT and look forward to continuing our work to elevate the guest experience and strengthen the property’s status as a top destination in Las Vegas. I’m proud to be part of the incredible team here and excited about the opportunities ahead.”
Dice earned a degree in business management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. "With more than two decades of experience in hospitality and gaming, Dice brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership to his new position at The STRAT, a cornerstone of the Las Vegas Strip," Golden Entertainment said in a release.
