Las Vegas-based locals casino operator Golden Entertainment has finalized renovation projects at its Arizona Charlie's hotel-casinos, enhancing guest experiences at both suburban locations.
At Arizona Charlie’s Boulder, situated at 4575 Boulder Highway, all 303 hotel rooms have received updates. The renovated accommodations now feature queen rooms measuring around 400 square feet and king rooms of approximately 300 square feet. Guests can enjoy new furnishings, pull-out couches, in-room coffee makers, refrigerators, and high-definition televisions, as detailed in a Thursday press release.
Similarly, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, located at 740 S. Decatur Blvd., has introduced 88 revamped rooms within its Klondike Tower. These nearly 340-square-foot rooms now offer improved floor tiling, designated workspaces with desks and office chairs, and upgraded corridors for a more inviting atmosphere.
Guests at the Decatur location will also find modern amenities, including walk-in showers, USB charging ports, and coffee makers, within its 259 total rooms.
As a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq, Golden Entertainment will discuss these enhancements and their potential impact on business during its third-quarter earnings call scheduled for November 7.
In August, the company reported a decline in its second-quarter financial results for 2024, with revenue falling by 41.6% year-over-year to $167.3 million. The downturn was largely attributed to the sale of key assets in 2023 and early 2024, including the Rocky Gap Casino Resort and its distributed gaming operations in Montana and Nevada.
The company's Adjusted EBITDA for Q2 2024 also saw a decline, registering $41.2 million compared to $58.4 million in the same period last year. Net income fell sharply to $0.6 million, or $0.02 per fully diluted share, from $12.3 million, or $0.40 per share, in Q2 2023.
