iGaming content provider SOFTSWISS has been awarded the Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year at the SBC Awards Latinoamérica 2024 for its Help Brazil initiative, which provided essential support to communities in Brazil devastated by severe flooding earlier this year.
The award recognizes SOFTSWISS’ commitment to social responsibility within the Latin American gaming industry, where its Help Brazil project stood out for its focus on sustainability and community engagement.
Launched in May 2024, the initiative offered immediate relief by distributing food, clothing, and clean water to the flood-hit regions of Rio Grande do Sul in collaboration with Movimento União BR. Looking beyond short-term aid, SOFTSWISS also partnered with PWTech to install water purification systems in local schools, ensuring long-term clean water access.
Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, said: “This prestigious award affirms our commitment to making a real difference. As we expand our business in Latin America, we build lasting relationships with people and partners in this region and see ourselves as part of the local communities.
"When action was needed, we could not remain on the sidelines. We are grateful that the Latin American industry recognized and supported our initiative and immensely thankful to everyone who joined us in this effort, both locally and internationally.”
Rubens Barrichello, Non-Executive Director for SOFTSWISS in Latin America, who helped raise awareness for the project, stated: “I am incredibly proud of SOFTSWISS' commitment to a sustained and compassionate approach.
"This recognition underscores our dedication to supporting communities in Brazil, where we focus on making a meaningful impact. Together, with such comprehensive projects, we are demonstrating how our industry can step up when it matters most.”
SOFTSWISS has also extended its commitment to community aid beyond Latin America. In September, the company provided financial support and essential supplies to flood-affected areas in Poland, where it operates two offices. The company’s aid efforts in Poland and Brazil highlight its focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, including projects for World Environment Day, Pink October, and Movember.
As part of its plans for future growth, SOFTSWISS invites partners and clients to explore collaboration opportunities at stand 2145 during the SiGMA Europe Summit.
