SiGMA Group has announced that its flagship European event SiGMA Central Europe will be held in Milan for the first time in 2025. The event will take place at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre from November 23-26, 2025, and is expected to attract a record-breaking 30,000 delegates, making it the largest SiGMA event to date.
This move aligns with the rapid growth of Italy’s online gambling market, which organizers say remains one of the most significant untapped opportunities in Europe. SiGMA says the new location reflects its commitment to expanding its footprint in high-potential markets, offering a platform for industry leaders to connect and innovate in the evolving iGaming sector.
With a total gambling market valued at €16 billion ($16.91 billion), Italy stands as the second-largest gambling market in Europe. However, only 25% of that revenue is currently generated through online platforms, leaving a significant €12 billion ($12.68 billion) in offline gambling that remains largely unexplored by digital operators.
According to recent market projections, Italy’s online gambling sector is expected to reach €2.89 ($3.05 billion) billion in revenue in 2024, with an annual growth rate of 5.52% from 2024-2029. The online casino segment alone is expected to generate €1.54 billion in 2024. SiGMA’s move to Milan is set to capitalize on this rapidly growing market, providing businesses with the opportunity to tap into Italy’s increasing demand for online gaming and betting services.
The Fiera Milano venue, one of the largest and most renowned exhibition centres in Europe, is set to become the new permanent home of SiGMA Central Europe. Spanning 345,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space, alongside an additional 60,000 square metres of outdoor space, Fiera Milano ranks as the 4th largest exhibition venue globally, and the largest in Italy.
With 20 pavilions and state-of-the-art conference facilities, the venue is capable of accommodating large-scale events. Additionally, Fiera Milano offers ample parking with 15,000 spaces, ensuring convenient access for both delegates and exhibitors.
Milan’s strategic location and excellent connectivity are key advantages for hosting international events. The city is served by three major international airports — Malpensa, Linate, and Orio al Serio — and boasts a highly efficient public transportation network, including five metro lines and an extensive bus and tram system. Milan's central location also makes it easily accessible to delegates from key iGaming markets across Europe, including Poland, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
While SiGMA Central Europe will take root in Milan, Malta will remain a key hub for SiGMA’s global events. The island will continue to host SiGMA Euro-Med, a niche event focused on iGaming trends in the Mediterranean region, with the first edition set for September 2025 at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH).
To celebrate the launch of SiGMA Central Europe in Milan, the company is offering an exclusive promotion for businesses interested in exhibiting at the event. Companies that purchase a booth for the November 2025 conference will receive double the space at no additional cost, or a free matching booth at the SiGMA Euro-Med event in Malta in September 2025. This special offer is available until the end of November 2024.
